Thanksgiving-colored lichen & store-bought pie 🦃

This is the most important poem I've ever had published, even if the editors didn't print it perfectly. When I started talking openly about having been raped, I was blown away by how many people shared their own stories with me. Not some stranger in an alley— a loved one, a drunk date, or a coworker. It seems I know more women that have been raped than haven't. Talking frankly has helped me heal. I wish that same healing for all people who have suffered this way. Second photo is a version of the poem properly formatted, for if you’d like to keep it, share it, what have you.
